Holiday information on Jávea, Dénia and Surroundings

With a wonderful mild climate on the Costa Blanca, Javea is an ideal destination to spend the winter.
The mild temperatures in autumn and spring easily reach 20ºC and the many sunny days make your stay here very pleasant. In the sun it is often even so warm that you can easily walk, play sports, enjoy nature, the sea or a drink on one of the many terraces, short-sleeved during the day.
Even in the real winter months it never gets extremely cold, December, January and February have an average temperature of about 16/17 degrees during the day. At this time of the year, however, the night temperatures do drop to 6/7 degrees. As soon as the sun goes down it gets chilly but did you know that at this time of year we have more hours of light here in Javea than for example in the UK? On the shortest day of the year the sun rises over 10 minutes earlier and sets over an hour and a quarter later, that's just almost 1,5 hours more light per day in Javea than at home in the UK. Many people therefore consider the winter in Javea to be very pleasant.

Of course it is not the same when you are on holiday for a week in summer and you mainly live outside or when you actually come to live in Javea for a few months in winter. Other things like heating, furniture and comfort then become extra important. All our accommodations are fully furnished and have different types of heating, do not hesitate to ask us for more information! We offer winter rentals normally from October till March. The minimum stay for winter rental with a more economic price per month is two months.
Not included in the price per month are:

• The obligatory final cleaning, price depends on the accommodation
• The energy costs for electricity and / or gas, these are calculated according to consumption, every end of the month you will receive the bill from us
• Linen package: € 17,50 per person per package

You'll also need heating here in the winter, even though the temperatures, as we wrote earlier, are lovely during the day, in the evening and at night it cools down in Javea as well. In addition, the humidity here is high on some days and you can feel that, even inside the house.

However, central heating and well isolated houses or apartments in Javea, or on the Costa Blanca in general, are not as self-evident as we are used to in e.g. the UK. After all, most of the time of the year it is nice weather here.  Reason to take a good look at what heating options an accommodation offers for the winter and even then you should keep in mind that the heat is quickly gone as soon as you turn off the heating and it doesn't always get as nice and warm as you are used to at home in a well isolated environment.

The accommodations offered for winter rental are from private owners of different nationalities, therefore English television is not always available.

All accommodations do have unlimited use of Wifi, in all our accommodations in Javea for the winter you can do your daily business on the internet like e-mail, social networks, listening to music, watching the news or watching programs.

The speed of the internet on the other hand is not always as you may have at home, live streaming to receive English TV works in practice only in the accommodations with a optic fiber internet connection (unfortunately that is not everywhere possible yet in Javea). Ask us for more information!
